1. Welcome & Introductions
Julian Dobson (Chair), Stephen Craven, Ray Suomi, Derek Mark, John Clarke, Andy Braben, Chris le Breton, Anthony Austin, Matt Lynch, David Senior and Donald Anyiam. Apologies from Liz Delap and John Hearns.
2. November Minutes approved.
Approved.
3.Matters Arising.
Maps: Julian is noping to get these by Christmas.
Email addresses: Andy said we can have up to five for free.
Christmas social event: had been booked for 14 December. Views differed on whether it would be better to hold it immediately following the December meeting next year.
4. Planning Issues.
Donald Anyiam of Greenwich Council discusses various issues with us:
5. Mast Pond Wharf.
The phase 1 site is now owned by the management company (no longer Comer Homes). The current problems (safety barrier to temporary path and erosion of river bank) are on the Phase 2 site. Greenwich could serve notice that they will make repairs themselves if Comer do not; the HSE would not be involved since it is not a construction site; it would be an Environmental Health matter. It should be made safe for Christmas.
6. Rides.
Ray has sent a draft list of December rides (to be corrected) to the Yahoo group. It was noted that Lewisham Cyclists keep their website more up to date with rides. Action: Ray to ensure all rides get notified to Andy for the website.
Chris had got a rides list published in Meridian (Greenwich lifestyle magazine) but the copy date is the 7th of the month which may be a challenge for rides planning. Don could give contact details for the Council intranet / website. Action: Chris to get these details and submit entries. The LCC magazine probably has too long a lead time.
Poor attendance on rides may be due to people not aware of what is coming up. Action: Ray to send a weekly e-mail reminder to the group of weekend rides.
7. Training.
Derek now has the hi-vis waistcoats.
8. LCC AGM.
Dave attended but there was nothing of significance to report.
9. Vacancies
Item deferred due to lack of time for discusion.
10. Any Other Business.
There had been a lively debate on the Yahoo group about the proposed Casino which had nearly resulted in Moderator action. Julian had not seen all these messages due to a problem with his e-mail.
