Minutes of August meeting approved.
2. Planning
On Aug 31 Anthony and Dave met Greenwich Council lead cycling officer Don Anyiam at the Thames Barrier and inspected the completed section of cycle path which had been in dispute. Path now continuous but Environment Protection Agency which owns land has stipulated Cyclists Dismount signs to cross road at barrier checkpoint.DA said they had insisted on this after a cyclist skidded there and sued the EPA. Contractor for Beech which does road work for Council turned up late, without bike, then walked with us as far as the Hope & Anchor. We identified a couple of subsidences/treeroot cracks in the Thames Path which DA and Beech said would be tackled.
Old Royal Naval College. Greenwich Planning and English Heritage have been asked for approval for a shared-use cycle-pedestrian path round the northern perimeter. You read it here first!
Bike Parking in Greenwich centre. Lydian has filed final version of our recommendations to DA. He walked with us round the sites on Aug 31 and agreed to implement apart from those at King William Walk. Lydian said the best ones she's seen are in the square outside Waitrose in Canary Wharf.
Cycle Route Inspection Meeting (CRIM) for A205 Catford to Woolwich. Teri, Andy, Lizy, Anthony and David said they would be interested in consulting about the route. Liz said it was important to have a copy of the proposed route first. ACTION - Anthony to reply saying we could do Sept 29/30 at the Catford end, October 3/4 for Woolwich section.
3. Pedal Power
Stephen said Maria Robinson (printer) has received some copy. ACTION - Stephen to finalise publication with Maria, Ray to pick up and deliver for distribution at 0700 Cutty Sark Gardens Monday Sept 19. ACTION - More volunteers please.
4. Ceilidh.
Karen M said online bookings were coming in for this event on December 17. The organising group is investigating suppliers for catering and the bar and will draw up a duty roster for the night. Maria will print advance publicity posters.
5. Rides.
Ray said Greenwich Cyclists has rides organised for every weekend until October plus Tuesday afterworkers. ACTION - Ray to coordinate rides website with Lewisham and Southwark to make sure information correct and up to date. Teri said she would put Greenwich rides on the LCC website.
6. Website.
ACTION - John H said he will manage the website when Andy's away, like the next two weeks.
7. Car-free Day.
John H said he would help set up site if others would staff it. Teri said she would. ACTION - seeking new volunteers. (Anthony subsequently received call from festival organiser, on behalf of Greenwich Council, inviting us to be there. Said he would reply on Monday depending on any response to this.)
8. Maintenance classes.
Wednesday 21st and 28th September, 7-9 pm, at St Peter's Church Hall, on the corner of Eltham Rd and Weigall Rd, SE12.

9. Other Business.
Derek said club received a £159 contribution from LCC based on our membership numbers. Karen S asked if we could have a regular finance report. ACTION - it will be on October agenda.
