Notes of Meeting - June 2005


1. Welcome & Introductions
13 cyclists attended, five apologies.

Bike Week
There is a ride to Hoo Penninsula on Saturday.

On Sunday 5th June there is a stall at Greenwich Park. There will be a lot of bike maps to hand out, so please come along and support. John Hearns will provide the banner, stand, and toolkit. LCC will also be present. Please will all help to deliver bike week leaflets to shops.

Two CTC promoted women cycling rides are taking place, one on Saturday 4th June from Greenwich leading up the Lea Valley, and one on Sunday 5th June from London Bridge to the Green Fair.

A pre-bike week maintenance class is taking place on Wednesday 8th June. No pre-booking, anyone can turn up and pay a nominal £2.00 to cover costs.

Each evening, Monday to Thursday during bike week, there will be a stall at Cutty Sark Gardens with the banner etc.

David Senior will lead the afterworker rides on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Andy Braben will lead the afterworker ride on Wednesday.

CRIM/CRISP
The CRIM/CRISP for route 65 will not be using Happeney Bridge, but will use Creek Road and Lower Road. Comments were made that Creek Road Westbound is dangerous for cycling. Recent comments ascertaining this have been posted to the Yahoo Group.

Annual General Meeting
Julian Dobson explained that all posts were now vacant and nobody was running anything, then handed over to Barry Mason who led the elections.

Derek Mark, treasuser handed out copies of the accounts, and spoke about them.

AGM AOB
Hilary thanked Julian for the past year, and Julian thanked everyone for all their help and support during the past year.

Liz indicated that more people were required to lead rides.

It was decided that Barry Mason would run the Ceilidh under Greenwich Cyclists.
